I got to see the Lincoln Memorial and it was so surreal. It was honestly breathtaking seeing it up close. I’ve always seen it in movies, but experiencing it in person has given me a new perspective. I’m beginning to have an appreciation for architecture and the architects who have worked on them. Astonishing.
It’s so big!
So many people!
Are you lost?
What a beautiful place to rest.
I haven’t been posting as often these past few weeks because I had to prepare for my trip to D.C.! I’m in Maryland, camping, with my boyfriend; and we’re about 20 to 30 minutes away from Washington D.C.’s mall (so convenient). Yesterday, we went to see the Capitol Building and it looked amazing!
It’s nice to see people who appreciate what this country has.
Traveling; no matter how far; is a great feeling. Even though we only spent a day in D.C., I feel so much more alive because I got to experience something. I got to see something I had never seen before!
Another thing I like about Washington D.C., so far, is that there is so much history!
Tomorrow we’re planning to visit the Holocaust Museum and the Lincoln Memorial. So I’ll have pictures posted soon!
Welcome to Camp Sussex! Are you ready for a world of fun and adventure?
Let me show you to your cabin.
Here we are! Cozy, right?
Here is where you’ll be sleeping, I hope you brought your own mattress! And you can put your personal belongings in that cubby.
If you have to use the restroom there are stalls in the back of the cabin.
Our state of the art cabins are sure to keep you warm at night.
And our sturdy doors will keep pranksters out!
Then you can head on over to the “mess hall” where we eat and conduct activities!
Here you’ll be able to socialize and meet new people.
We even got a new trampoline!
But watch your step! Some kids just don’t put their toys away. Camp Sussex holds kids from Kindergarten through High School.
So come on down to: Camp Sussex “Where all the fun is when we share our experiences with others!”
